In 1989, Susan graduated from the College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Sutton, Ontario. Throughout her massage career, she has seen the Massage Therapy Profession expand and be accepted by Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, and Physiotherapists. The medical professionals and their patients have seen the benefits of how massage can improve their conditions and their overall well being.

Over 30 years in the profession, Susan has worked closely with Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Acupuncturists, WSIB, Veteran Affairs and RCMP claim offices, to treat various health conditions such as: stress, whiplash, headaches, migraines, acute and chronic back and neck pain, motor vehicle accidents, concussions, tendonitis, sciatica, disc related problems, joint dysfunctions, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel, pregnancy, arthritic conditions, sport related injuries, cancer patients, depression, anxiety and many more.

Over the years as a Massage Therapist, Susan has worked at a number of health facilities including health spas, sports clinics, chiropractic offices, and with multidisciplinary teams. Susan has owned and operated two massage therapy clinics, and a mobile massage therapy service.

With her continuing education and experiences as an RMT, Susan has been able to use this knowledge to choose a variety of therapeutic massage techniques to help provide, safe and effective treatments while addressing her client’s needs. Her certification in Personal Training allows her to provide proper and effective stretches and exercise techniques to help strengthen weakened muscles and therefore improving her client’s overall condition.

Adam holds post-secondary diplomas in Health, Wellness & Fitness, Physiotherapy Assistance, Manual Osteopathy, and Massage Therapy. He also holds a variety of continuing education certificates, including Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Sports Conditioning Instruction, and Sports Nutrition, among others.

Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Adam has over a decade of experience in the health industry, be it as a personal trainer, bootcamp instructor, physiotherapy assistant, or manual therapist. Specializing in therapeutic care, Adam’s focus is primarily in orthopedics, such as joint injuries, scar care, and chronic dysfunctions. Education is a large part of Adam’s treatments, and he enjoys answering all questions relating to his patients’ injuries.

When he is not in office, Adam is watching cartoons with his toddlers, Erin and Michael.

Dr. McTavish graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and University of Western Ontario with a Master’s degree in Biochemistry.

During her academic studies, she was actively involved in varsity rugby and recreational speed skating. Along the way she’s incurred several sports injuries and with many years of working alongside chiropractors in the rehabilitation process she changed her focus to chiropractic. In 2021, she graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

After finishing her education, Dr. McTavish moved back to her hometown of Petrolia and took over ownership of Corunna Chiropractic & Massage. Following over 20 years of serving Corunna and St. Clair county, Dr. McTavish is excited to continue providing chiropractic care to the community.

Dr. McTavish is a huge advocate of an active lifestyle and is passionate about helping others return to activity and push themselves to new levels of strength and function. She uses soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, manipulation and exercise prescription to help in the rehabilitation process of sports related injuries, and chronic and repetitive strain injuries of the spine and extremities.
